I WATCH INSECTS GOING ABOUT THEIR DOGGED WAY, AND I WONDER:

Who are we to think the road too long, the mountains too high, the valleys too deep and fraught with potential peril.

    Then I have to remember that for many people life is like an insect trail. We are seen as small yet scary; as inconsequential yet unsettling; and to certain others we seem infinitely bothersome, though we’re doing nothing but crossing their path as we go about the business of simply living our lives.

    Then such people do unto us as they would do unto insects. Think about it.
